Vector is a global organization focused on the development of automotive electronics. They recently enlisted ISCG to help renovate part of their existing space in Novi, Michigan. Together with Vector's landlord, JFK Investments, ISCG helped create a new space that better aligned with the global design goals of the German supplier.

 Needs:

The global design vision required a modern look and the feeling of 'gemutlichkeit', which means comfort in German. The renovated space needed to accommodate 120 employees with features like a cantina, training room, laboratory, and meetings spaces of varying sizes.

 Design Solutions:

  • The design team at ISCG loved the challenge of integrating the global design goals with a contemporary North American office.

  • Woodgrain finishes throughout added that feeling of 'gemutlichkeit' and warmed up the modern design.

  • Soft seating added in the lobby, executive areas, and hallway meeting areas added additional softness and opportunity for collaboration.

  • The strategic use of color aligned with global design goals and also added pops of visual interest.

  • Frosted film added to glass walls provided visual privacy where needed without restricting access to natural light.

The project’s goal was to replicate the headquarters’ office design with a local flair. The ISCG team was able to execute on these requirements perfectly and delivered a space that gave us clean lines with Gemütlichkeit (cosiness).
