Macomb Community College collaborated with ISCG to launch a pilot furniture program designed to create an active learning environment. The initiative focused on creating engaging, flexible spaces designed to attract students to campus while promoting active learning.
The college sought to move beyond conventional lecture-style classrooms, which featured two-person tables arranged in rows. Instead, they envisioned adaptable layouts with soft seating, mobile furniture, vibrant colors, and durable materials to enhance student interaction and engagement

ISCG collaborated with faculty and students to test multiple active learning configurations, gathering feedback through surveys to determine what application works best for their students. As Macomb Community College’s preferred furniture vendor for over 15 years, ISCG continues to support the institution in shaping innovative learning spaces.
