THE CHALLENGE

PFMG is one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing franchisees for Planet Fitness health clubs; so it came as no surprise that they quickly outgrew their previous location. They chose a new, unfinished space located in the heart of downtown Northville. Our design team worked with PFMG and selected all the interior finishes to complement their brand and internal culture as well as the overarching Planet Fitness style.

NEEDS

• A modern, fresh space curated for efficiency and future growth.

• PFMG gets many visitors; which created a demand for a communal area where traveling workers can get things done.

• Their old space was spread out over two floors and they wanted the new floorplate to be cohesive and easy to navigate.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS

• Space planning allowed for an improved division of space and collaboration over one floor versus being spread out on multiple floors.

• A business hub which creates a one-stop area with open workspaces and all the items traveling workers need to be productive.

• Custom wall graphics created by our design team convey the internal culture of PFMG.

• Glass front offices provide daylight views to the entire office.

• A fully stocked café complete with lounge seating and a Shuffleboard table supports PFMG’s playful and positive company culture.
